What's involved?

Theoretical studies at either CPL, or ATPL level are required before starting the course. The flying course consists of 25 hours (15 if an IR is held 30 if a night rating is not held).

Are there any exams?

After completion of theoretical studies, and the flying course itself, the CPL is issued upon completion of a Skills Test. This flight will test your ability to conduct a flight in a professional manner, concentrating on navigation, emergency procedures and general handling skills. The test can last upwards of two hours.

Age limits

Minimum age for CPL issue is 18.

Medical requirements

An EASA Class I medical certificate is required.

How long will it take?

This necessarily is governed by aptitude, personal commitments, weather, and of course funds. 

How much will it cost?

Course price and aircraft hire rates are available on request. It is important to bear in mind that 25 hours is a minimum requirement, extra hours will be charged pro-rata. All our prices include VAT where applicable. 

Maintaining your licence privileges

Your licence will be valid for life.
