A Trial Lesson is the ideal way to experience flying for yourself or as a gift to someone else.

A Trial Lesson can be used as the first lesson if you wish to continue on to become a pilot. All include the following:

Cross Country Lesson

This longer duration lesson allows the recipient to learn the basics of flying, and visit a neighbouring airfield. The lesson will typically be 1.5 hours of flight time and will take a total 2.5-3 hours to complete.

After a short break at the destination, the recipient will enjoy further training on the return leg. Alternatively one of the back seat passengers can swap into the front and have the benefit of a flying lesson as well.

All cross country lessons are conducted in a four seat aircraft.

Cross Country in a four seat aircraft

Allows an instructor and student to fly, while accommodating up to two passengers in the back. Offers a roomier experience than the two seater, still with great views. Guests welcome to watch and take photos!

CAA regulations mean anyone having a lesson or coming as a passenger must attend with either a passport or photocard driver's licence. if you don't bring this you will not be able to fly and will forfeit your flight.

Trial lessons are available all year round but are subject to weather and operational restrictions and we strongly recommend you telephone to check before starting your journey.

Flight time is measured from when an aircraft taxi’s until it stops at the end of the flight. Please allow approximately 1 hour in total for a 30 minute lesson or 1.5 hours for a 60 minute lesson.

Vouchers are non refundable and lost vouchers will not be honoured.
